I was first exposed to Despicable Me when the teaser trailer ran prior to my viewing of Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.  My interest was piqued mainly because I kind of recalled seeing Steve Carell being attached.  I apparently wasn’t paying too much attention because — for the life of me — I could not think of the dang name of the movie.  I referred to it as “Diabolical One,” “Devious One,” “Devilish Me.”  I DON”T KNOW!  But after weeks I eventually hunted the info down and have now since retained the title, which is a good thing because the second trailer has been released and highlights the film’s two antagonists — I love villains!

Gru (voiced by Carell) and Vector (voiced by Jason Segel) seem to have a Spy vs Spy or Roadrunner/Wile E. Coyote type of dynamic within their relationship.  Gru is constantly trying to out-heal Vector in his attempts at stealing the moon.  This is definitely a flick among my most anticipated.  Despicable Me is set for a July 2010 release.
